National 4-H Council (Council) is proud to collaborate with The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) on the Increasing Food Production & Combating Food Waste and Loss through 4-H project to prepare youth with Going Beyond Ready; helping kids find their spark, build real-world skills and become resilient, adaptable, lifelong learners. Through content development subgrants, land-grant universities (LGUs) will utilize 4-H’s significant reach and research-backed programmatic experience to create and develop digital content activities designed to educate youth on food loss and waste delivered through the CLOVER by 4-H. Through the support of USDA/NIFA and other funders, Council has developed CLOVER by 4-H, an online learning platform that complements traditional in-person programming by allowing all kids to access high-quality experiential ag, healthy living, and STEM content, and for educators to utilize tools and curriculum. CLOVER empowers all youth to find their spark through hundreds of impactful learning experiences developed by 100+ LGUs. There are up to six (6) awards of $15,000 each available in Round 2 of content development subgrants. The grant period will run from July 15, 2026-March 31, 2027.
