Mars - 4-H Seeds for Success – Applications due Wednesday, September 16, 2026

National 4-H Council (Council) is proud to collaborate with the Mars Impact Fund to prepare a total of 1,200 youth for life and careers by developing skills, agency, and connections through high-quality, hands-on experiences in the Mars x 4-H: Seeds for Success project. Built on 4-H's Beyond Ready Framework to guide program design, implementation, and outcome measurement, the project is based on the belief that youth are more likely to pursue careers in food, agriculture, and veterinary science when they have sustained opportunities to build interest, access, and readiness. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and peer collaboration, teens will explore future-focused careers while developing career-ready skills. Reflection activities will help participants connect their experiences to future education and career pathways in the areas of food, agriculture, and small animal veterinary sciences.

Six (6), $150,000 awards will be provided to support three-year projects. Three (3) awards are reserved for eligible land-grant universities (LGUs) in the following states: California, Illinois, Tennessee. An additional three (3) awards will be given to eligible LGUs in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Michigan.

Starlink - 4-H Beyond Ready: Getting Connected – Applications due Wednesday, August 5, 2026

National 4-H Council (Council) is proud to collaborate with Starlink to launch 4-H Beyond Ready: Getting Connected to expand reliable internet access in underserved communities. An estimated 7.5 million households in the U.S. lack reliable, high-speed internet, disproportionately affecting underserved rural communities, yet dependable connectivity is foundational for building strong communities and ensuring youth are ready for work and life. Through this opportunity, 10 land-grant universities (LGUs) will receive funding ($15,000), equipment (worth up to $5,000 in kind), and connectivity support (worth up to $15,000 in kind) to reach 100 communities (10 per state) lacking reliable high-speed internet. This partnership between 4-H and Starlink will allow LGUs to leverage this expanded internet access to local 4-H experiences and help youth turn access to reliable internet into real learning, career exploration, and readiness that lasts well beyond high school.
